ABOUT ME
Welcome! My name is Melissa Baker and dogs are my whole world. I work full time as a dog trainer in Columbia, SC; if I am not working then I am at home "working" my 2 high-energy dogs!
I fell into dog training as a young college student who decided to raise up a rescue pit-mix (Luna) with some difficult behavioral issues. After a few years of trail/error while training an anxious and fearful Luna I decided I needed professional guidance. I enrolled in a certification program through Animal Behavior College with a focus in Obedience Training. Luna needed a little extra work, which taught me about behavior modification and confidence-building.

I am a balanced dog trainer who focuses on positive reinforcement and clear communication to meet your dog's specific needs. My main focus is building the bond between owner and pet through easy to learn training and fun engagement. I look forward to meeting each of you and sharing so much more!
